About studying at MAKE.
What is MAKE?
MAKE Institute of Future Industries offers practical, two-year programmes in AI, robotics and related technical fields. You learn through projects, testing and problem-solving.
How long is a programme?
Two years, organised into four semesters.
How will I learn?
You work through practical challenges: understand the problem, learn the concepts, build a solution, test it and explain your results.
What can I study?
Choose Robotics and Intelligent Machines; Drones and Autonomous Systems; Electric Mobility and Energy Systems; Smart Manufacturing and Industrial Automation; or Applied AI and Machine Vision.
What qualifications do I need?
You normally need a completed upper-secondary qualification, such as HSC or equivalent. Additional requirements may apply to your programme or intake.
Do I need an English test?
A separate general English test is not normally required by MAKE. Check whether your programme, intake or individual offer has any additional requirements.
Can international students apply?
Yes. Local, EU and international applicants use the same online application. The documents and next steps may depend on your circumstances.
How much does it cost?
Standard tuition is €5,900 per semester, or €23,600 over four semesters. A separate €190 application fee applies. Scholarships and instalment payments are available. See the fees page and refund policy before paying.
Does MAKE offer scholarships?
Yes. MAKE offers a 50% tuition fee waiver based on your interview performance and academic results. Scholarships are awarded through assessment and are not automatic.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. You can pay tuition in instalments. At the standard tuition rate, a semester can be paid in two instalments of €2,950 where confirmed in your offer or invoice. Your invoice will show your payable amounts, including any scholarship adjustment, and the due dates.
What will I have to show when I finish?
The programme is designed around a portfolio of projects, technical records, test results and a final project you can demonstrate.
Does MAKE guarantee a job?
MAKE prepares you with practical skills and project evidence. Employment depends on your skills, applications, employer requirements and work eligibility; a job is not guaranteed.
Can these skills help me start a business?
Practical problem-solving and project work can help you develop an idea or service. Starting a business also requires customers, planning and the appropriate permissions. A successful business is not guaranteed.
Does an offer guarantee a visa?
No. The relevant authority decides visa and immigration applications. MAKE may provide institutional documents after the applicable admissions, enrolment and payment conditions are met.
What happens if my visa is refused?
Under the published policy, you can request a refund of tuition paid for the affected semester by sending the official refusal and a written request within 30 days after refusal. The application fee remains non-refundable except for duplicate payments and refunds required by applicable law. Read the full policy for the conditions.

Is MAKE a university degree programme?
MAKE offers non-formal practical education, not a university degree. Check the exact award and its recognition in your programme information before applying.
